“Great for Photographs!”

We love this charming wedding venue! The bridal room is decorated so beautifully and is perfect for “getting ready” photographs. The staff is so friendly and accommodating. Would highly recommend Green Gables! Yasmine – Dapper Images Photography

“Private Girl Heaven”

I love Green Gables Estate! I stumbled upon it by driving by and seeing their sign from the road. I have lived in San Marcos my entire life and didn’t know such a beautiful place existed here. It’s so hidden away and completely private that you wouldn’t know what’s there until you walk up the hill and wow–amazing. I fell in love with the bridal parlor as soon as I walked in.

It’s like “girl heaven” with pale pinks, ivory and accent decor. Plush vintage furniture and art give the parlor the most romantic feel! The tent is unbelievable, worthy of a celebrity wedding with gorgeous carpeting, huge hard wood dance floor and oversized hanging lanterns from the ceiling. I’m so excited for my wedding, cannot wait!!!  –Maryann M.

“We Knew It When We Set Foot On It”

My husband to be and I are the cautious types that like to look at 200 houses before we buy one. That being said, our wedding venue search was set to take place the same way, but the moment we set foot on Green Gables Wedding Estate, we knew. We just knew it was our place and that’s that–we couldn’t be happier.

You have to check out this twinkle-lit oasis in San Marcos, CA, if you’re planning a wedding any time in the next year or two–they book up fast! –Taryn P.

“Like Kate Moss’ Garden Wedding in San Diego!”

Kate Moss English Garden was precisely what I was looking for in a wedding venue. As soon as I looked at the spread of Kate’s wedding in Vogue Magazine my head was swimming with ideas of an Historic Garden Estate that was private and with lots of old trees.

Ok, so It came time for me to face the fact that I don’t see my family flying off for a Eurpean wedding reception. Since they are in San Diego, I began searching for the dream of a historic estate with the whole elegant tent and English gardens thing going on.

After searching and only finding tropical or botanical gardens I finally called the Twin Oaks House and Gardens in San Marcos but they were booked (for like a year), but they referred me to the Green Gables Estate.

I have to say, this place is like walking into a magazine. It’s got huge trees and the giant tent with the fabric on the top, and a really big historic house that looks like a white chapel. I fell in love and now I am planning a vintage garden wedding with a hint of anthropology, dribbled with cut crystals for the fall. It’s an amazing time in my life, and my only real plan is to love every minute of this whole wonderful process, thankfully with an amazing man!  I will keep you all posted…The future Mrs, Hanna Matson. — Karen
